You’ll leave early in the morning, departing from your hotel in La Paz for the shores of Lake Titicaca where you’ll board a catamaran cruise. Take this tour to learn about modern culture around the lake as well as the fascinating history left behind by the indigenous people.

The Inti Wata Cultural Complex is also a good place to see Andean flowers at the Inca Garden, where you’ll see plants that grow in the island’s micro-climate. Then, you’ll make your way to a set of Inca stairs that leads to a fountain — the fountain of youth, according to legend. Explore more of the Inti Wata Cultural Complex and learn more about traditional medicine. There’s also a stop at the the Ekako Underground Museum where you can observe a mummy and other interesting artifacts. Your guide will also take you to the Manco Kapac lookout, where you can see a large variety of Andean camelids.

Next, you’ll take time to get to know the natives at the Titicaca Reed Shipbuilders and handicraft center. Locals make ships out of the strong reeds that grow from the lake bed, and a visit to the Inti Wata Complex includes a sailing experience on board a traditional vessel. This sailing trip makes a scenic visit to the Pilkokaina Palace.

On board the catamaran cruise, you’ll have a buffet lunch while you’re sailing on Lake Titicaca. Your tour also makes a stop at Copacabana, the main Bolivian town on the shores of Lake Titicaca. From there, you’ll make the return trip.
